The number of fatalities has risen to three following the asphyxiation accident involving an admixture tank at a ready-mixed concrete plant in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do.

According to Suncheon City on August 24, Mr. A, who was rescued from H Industry in Seomyeon, Suncheon and transferred to Suncheon St. Carollo Hospital, ultimately passed away that morning. Unlike the other two individuals who were found in cardiac arrest, Mr. A still had faint consciousness but was pronounced dead during treatment.
The accident occurred at 1:29 p.m. on August 21. When the first worker who entered the admixture tank did not come out, two colleagues followed him inside, and all three ultimately lost their lives.
The police and labor authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident and whether safety regulations were followed.
