On the 24th, LG Electronics announced that it will unveil a teaser video both domestically and internationally ahead of the world-renowned art fair "Frieze Seoul 2025," which will be held for four days starting from the 3rd of next month at COEX in Seoul. According to the company, the teaser video uses media art to convey the message that the artist Park Seobo's iconic "Ecriture" series, specifically the red persimmon-colored piece, will be reborn through LG's OLED technology.
At this year's Frieze Seoul, LG Electronics plans to showcase not only the artwork featured in the teaser video but also other paintings from Park Seobo's "Ecriture" series and media art pieces reinterpreting his work, all displayed on the 2025 LG OLED TV. The teaser video will be broadcast from August 25 to September 6 on electronic billboards at two overseas landmarks-Piccadilly Circus in London and Times Square in New York-as well as on two billboards located at Seoul City Hall and Gwanghwamun.
Since 2021, LG Electronics has participated as a global partner of Frieze, continuously expanding its engagement with customers. The company has also partnered with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and, starting this year, will sponsor the "MMCA x LG OLED Series" exhibition for three years, continuing its "LG OLED ART" project to promote the unique and innovative value of LG OLED TVs.
