On August 21, Muan County held the graduation ceremony for the 2nd term of the village community project, 'Kkoma Hakdang', at the Baekryeon Cultural Center in Ilro-eup.
According to the county on August 22, the event was attended by about 60 people, including 28 elementary school students from Ilro-eup who completed the program, County Governor Kim San, Vice Chairperson of the County Council Jung Eunkyung, County Council members Lim Hyunsu, Kim Bongseong, and Park Ssangbae, as well as parents.
The ceremony began with a congratulatory performance by the Baekryeon Harmony club of the Baekryeon Cultural Center, followed by an introduction of the program, a viewing of an activity video, and presentations of reflections by the children.
The children, who cheered or shyly watched themselves in the video, continued to receive enthusiastic support from their families and parents as they exhibited their own creations and took group commemorative photos.
This term of 'Kkoma Hakdang' featured a variety of creative and experiential activities over four weeks of summer vacation, centered on the local resource of yellow soil, including balloon art, woodworking, pottery experience, natural dyeing, tile mural making, clay sensory play, and pop-up book creation.
County Governor Kim San stated, "The most valuable experience was that the children learned about nature and developed a sense of cooperation with their friends through Kkoma Hakdang," adding, "We will continue to support various educational and cultural programs so that children can nurture their dreams and talents."
Meanwhile, Muan County is currently operating 'Mama Hakdang' and 'Kkoma Hakdang' in a total of six towns and townships this year. After the final Mama Hakdang in Mangun-myeon in September, the county plans to conclude this year's schedule with the 'Nallinalli' achievement presentation in November.
