The National Agency for Administrative City Construction (hereafter NAACC) held a safety pledge ceremony on the 22nd at the construction site of the National Museum of Urban Architecture, aiming to prevent safety accidents and promote a culture of safety at construction sites.

The National Museum of Urban Architecture is the second museum to be built in the National Museum Complex in Sejong-dong, Sejong City. It is being constructed with a total floor area of approximately 30,000 square meters, targeting completion in July 2026. Due to the need for advanced construction techniques such as stacking segmented steel materials, thorough safety management of risk factors has been set as the top priority throughout the construction process.

The pledge ceremony was organized to reaffirm safety rules and raise awareness of safety at the site.

Representatives and managers from NAACC, construction companies, partner firms, and on-site workers participated in the event. Attendees recited a pledge containing safety rules to prevent major accidents such as falls, entrapment, collisions, fires, suffocation, and heatstroke, and chanted a zero-accident slogan to strengthen their commitment to safety.

Five outstanding workers who contributed to on-site safety were selected and awarded. The recipients were recognized for exemplary efforts, including voluntarily installing safety facilities, managing power supply to ensure adequate work lighting, and installing sprinklers, all of which contributed to proactive, site-centered safety activities.

Kang Juyeop, head of NAACC, stated, "Safety is not a choice but a necessity, and even small actions at the site can prevent major accidents." He added, "We will further strengthen safety awareness at all construction sites in the administrative city, including the National Museum of Urban Architecture, to ensure that not a single accident occurs."
