Six Graffiti Artists from Korea and Abroad Join the Project
Expressing the 'Forest' Theme Using KCC's Soopro All-in-One
"Continuing Cultural and Artistic Activities Through Color"
KCC announced on August 22 that it has transformed the shutters of commercial facilities in the Euljiro area of Jung-gu, Seoul into works of art through the 'Shutter Art Project.'
Under the message, "When the shutters are closed, art is revealed; when they open, life begins," six graffiti artists active both domestically and internationally participated in this project. With the theme of 'forest,' the participating artists used the commonly seen shop shutters in the city as their canvas, presenting works that express their unique personalities through vibrant colors.

KCC's water-based paint 'Soopro All-in-One' was used for this project. The main color, 'Sand Gold,' which was selected as the color of the year, added a warm touch to the cold metal shutters. Sand Gold is a soothing tone that evokes rest and nature, helping to reduce eye fatigue and harmonizing well with the surrounding space.
Soopro All-in-One received positive feedback from the participating artists. Thanks to its appropriate viscosity and excellent color payoff, the artists were able to work with ease, as if handling paint, and the paint was applied evenly even on the uneven surfaces of the shutters, enhancing the quality of the artworks. In addition, the odorless environment unique to water-based paint ensured safety in the urban setting and provided the artists with a pleasant working environment.
KCC supports artistic activities to realize its philosophy that "color changes the world." KCC explained that by using color-one of its core strengths-it brings positive change to urban spaces, shares this process with the public to build empathy, and at the same time increases awareness and trust in its products.
A KCC representative stated, "Going forward, we will continue to work with artists on cultural and artistic activities through color, while also expanding color universal design that considers the socially disadvantaged, to help create a safer and warmer society."
