With this addition, there are now a total of four mobile worker rest areas in Ansan, located at 186 Gwangdeok 2-ro, Danwon-gu; 716-7 Idong, Sangnok-gu; 593 Seongpo-dong, Sangnok-gu; and the new branch.
The fourth branch has been set up as a compact booth with an area of 27 square meters. The rest area is equipped with heating and cooling facilities, a water dispenser with both hot and cold water, a refrigerator, and an air purifier. It operates 24 hours a day, year-round, through an access authentication system.
The project to establish mobile worker rest areas is a key pledge of the eighth popularly elected Ansan City administration, aimed at improving the safety and comfort of working environments for laborers. In particular, these rest areas serve not only as shelters for mobile workers but also as climate disaster shelters during heat waves and other emergencies.
Mayor Lee Min-geun of Ansan stated, "With the opening of this fourth branch, we can now provide comfortable rest spaces for mobile workers in all directions across Ansan City," and added, "We will continue to develop policies that can improve the quality of life for workers facing harsh working conditions."
