The "Suwon City Citizen Evaluation Group," which will review the implementation status of the 8th term public election pledges, has been launched.
On August 21, Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province held the first meeting of the Citizen Evaluation Group at the Suwon Convention Center conference room and presented letters of appointment to 35 members of the group.
Suwon City selected the evaluation group members by conducting telephone interviews with citizens aged 18 or older who expressed their willingness to participate.
The Citizen Evaluation Group is tasked with reviewing the progress of pledge implementation and discussing ways to increase the implementation rate. This system is designed to enhance the objectivity and reliability of the pledge implementation process. It is operated under commission by the Korea Manifesto Center.

The meeting included a special lecture on "The Manifesto Movement and the Citizen Evaluation Group," the presentation of appointment letters, the formation of subgroups, and group discussions.
The Citizen Evaluation Group will hold two subgroup discussions and deliberations on September 4 and 18, where they will discuss measures to improve the implementation rate of the pledges by reflecting citizens' opinions.
A Suwon City official stated, "Since pledges are promises made to citizens, we will actively gather a wide range of opinions to improve the completeness of pledge implementation," adding, "We hope the Citizen Evaluation Group will thoroughly review the progress of pledge implementation."
