Regarding the tax status for individuals and business establishments: for individual resident tax, the head of a household registered in Uiseong County as of the tax base date, July 1, is subject to payment. This year, a total of 24,219 cases amounting to 264 million won have been levied.

For business establishment resident tax, it applies to individual business owners whose value-added tax base in the previous year was at least 80 million won, as well as corporations with business locations within the county. The payment is calculated by adding the basic tax amount (ranging from 500,000 to 2 million won) and the area-based tax (250 won per square meter) if the total floor area of the business exceeds 330 square meters.

To facilitate taxpayer convenience, Uiseong County has sent out 2,257 notices (amounting to 281 million won) that specify the area and tax amount in a batch mailing.

If a taxpayer does not receive the notice of assessment for reporting, payment, or objections, or if the contents of the notice differ from the actual situation, they can file a separate report and make payment through Wetax, or contact the Financial Division at the county office. The payment deadline is September 1.

Exemption measures for households affected by large-scale wildfires: In particular, Uiseong County has fully exempted the resident tax for 1,403 cases (about 16 million won) involving residents who suffered direct damage from the large-scale wildfires that occurred this year. This measure is intended to reduce the tax burden on residents and support their recovery efforts.

Kim Jusu, Governor of Uiseong County, emphasized, "We have exempted the resident tax for those affected by the large-scale wildfires to help alleviate their difficulties, even if only a little," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to promote community stability and enhance residents' welfare through tax administration centered on our residents."
