On Thursday, the 21st, the heatwave is expected to continue, with showers occurring in various areas.
Showers are forecast from the early morning to the afternoon in parts of the Seoul metropolitan area, the northern inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon, and the southern regions. Jeju Island will also experience occasional rain.
The expected precipitation is 5 to 40 mm for Jeju Island, Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, the five West Sea islands, and the northern inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon; 5 to 60 mm for Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam; and 5 to 40 mm for eastern Jeonbuk, Daegu, and the southern inland areas of Gyeongbuk.
The highest daytime temperatures are forecast to range from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius. The maximum apparent temperature will also be around 35 degrees, making it extremely hot.

Fine dust levels will remain at a 'good' level nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion. However, from early morning to morning, some inland areas may experience fog with visibility less than 1 km.
On roads adjacent to rivers, lakes, or valleys in inland areas, the fog may be even denser than in surrounding areas, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
Wave heights in the coastal waters are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East and South Seas, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea.
In offshore waters (within approximately 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West and South Seas.
