Governor Kim Youngrok Proposes Key Issues Including RE100 Industrial Complex to Presidential Office Kim Youngrok Jeonnam Governor

Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, met with Kim Yongbeom, Chief of Policy at the Presidential Office, on the 20th and proposed key energy policy issues, including the establishment of RE100 industrial complexes and public-led renewable energy development.

Last month, Chief of Policy Kim Yongbeom announced the 'RE100 Industrial Complex Development Plan' and the 'Next-Generation Power Grid Construction Plan,' designating Jeonnam as the central hub.

Accordingly, Governor Kim on this day requested that the RE100 industrial complex be established first in Jeonnam, which is rich in renewable energy resources.

He also proposed an energy basic income model in which public entities take the lead in developing renewable energy projects and return the resulting profits to local residents as income.

Governor Kim stated, "I will make every effort to ensure that these core projects, which will drive regional development and fulfill the aspirations of Jeonnam residents, are swiftly implemented with full national support."
