Hampyeong County Strengthens Case Management for Tailored Support of Dementia Patients Jeonnam Hampyeong County Office building.

On August 20, Hampyeong County in Jeonnam announced that it will collaborate with the Public Health Center Dementia Relief Center and the Jeonnam Metropolitan Dementia Center to strengthen tailored support for dementia patients.

The Hampyeong County Public Health Center Dementia Relief Center and the Jeonnam Metropolitan Dementia Center recently held a customized case management solution meeting for dementia patients and their families at the Hampyeong County Dementia Relief Center.

The solution meeting is a support system in which the Dementia Relief Center seeks advice from experts in various fields such as medicine, welfare, law, and psychology on complex cases that are difficult to resolve independently, in order to develop tailored support measures.

Participants in the meeting included Professor Seo Dongmin of the Department of Social Welfare at Baekseok University, Director Shin Seonghwa of the Mokpo E-Land Senior Welfare Center, Secretary General Ko Seonju of the Jeonnam Metropolitan Dementia Center, and the Hope Welfare Support Team from the Hampyeong County Resident Welfare Division, who served as advisory members.

The experts thoroughly reviewed the characteristics and needs of the case management subjects and proposed a variety of support measures in each field, including connecting social welfare services, providing psychological support for dementia patients and their families, and establishing legal and administrative protection systems.

The Hampyeong County Public Health Center Dementia Relief Center plans to actively incorporate the advisory content developed during this meeting into the case management process and, together with the Jeonnam Metropolitan Dementia Center, will continuously monitor the implementation so that practical support can be provided to county residents.

Shim Hwasub, Director of the Hampyeong County Public Health Center, stated, "Through the solution meeting, we were able to gather a wide range of expert opinions and develop customized alternatives for issues that are difficult to resolve in the field," adding, "We will continue to strengthen professional and systematic case management support so that dementia patients and their families can live with peace of mind in the local community."
