140 Servings of Nutritious Garaetteok Delivered

Distributed Alongside Ramen, Instant Rice, and Other Items
On August 20, the Sanhodong Welfare Family Volunteer Group in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, delivered nutritious garaetteok to the Banat Food Refrigerator in Sanhodong.
The Sanhodong Welfare Family has been preparing side dishes once a month and delivering them to the Banat Refrigerator. This time, to offer a change in the menu and address the hot weather, they made 140 servings of garaetteok at a local rice cake shop to stimulate the appetites of users.
During the event, food items such as ramen, beef bone soup, and instant rice, sponsored by New Aram Mart?a local Banat sponsor?were also packaged together with the garaetteok and delivered to Banat users.
Kim Taehee, president of the Welfare Family, said, "Traditionally, garaetteok has been made in every household at the start of the new year, symbolizing wishes for abundance and longevity. I hope everyone enjoys this garaetteok and stays healthy through the hot summer."
Yoon Hojung, head of Sanhodong, stated, "I would like to thank the Sanhodong Welfare Family Volunteer Group for delivering appetizing garaetteok to the Banat Refrigerator today.
