Special Summer Programs for Families
Forest programs that offer cool relief to those exhausted by the unusually long summer heatwave are gaining popularity among families on vacation.
Since July 1, more than 1,500 people have participated in a special summer program for families at the pristine valley of Geumsan Forest Culture Town, receiving a positive response from visitors during the peak season.
The program includes four activities: Neutigol Expedition, Sunshine Rope Play, Making Nature Necklaces, and Making Herb Salt.
The Neutigol Expedition allows participants to observe aquatic insects in the valley, while Sunshine Rope Play offers group physical activities using ropes. In the Making Nature Necklaces activity, participants use tree fruits to create necklaces featuring the bluebird, which is the official bird of Geumsan County.
In the Making Herb Salt activity, participants mix rosemary and sea salt to create their own herb salt. This is especially popular as it can be enjoyed immediately with the barbecue that participants have prepared in advance.
The program runs daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the Neutigol Children's Forest Experience Center within Geumsan Forest Culture Town. Participation is free of charge, and the program will be available until the end of this month.
