Participants in the 'Youth Growth Project' have shared positive feedback, saying, "It gave me time to reflect on myself," "It was helpful to learn communication skills and financial management needed for work life," and "I learned how to write reports and found healing while making an acrylic mood lamp."

The 'Youth Growth Project', which provides comprehensive services ranging from initial consultations and career exploration to customized employment programs and youth policy support, is gaining a positive response from young people. The project is centered around 'Youth Cafes', spaces where young people can freely participate.

This program is jointly operated by Daejeon City and the Daejeon Job Economy Promotion Agency, and its excellence has been proven by being selected for the Ministry of Employment and Labor's public contest for two consecutive years.

This year, in particular, the program was completely revamped into three stages-career exploration and daily life recovery, employment warm-up, and practical competency enhancement-reflecting feedback from last year's participants. This allows the program to more precisely address the diverse situations and concerns faced by young people and provide practical assistance.

In addition to strengthening job-seeking skills, the program includes engaging, participatory content. Useful hands-on experiences such as AI utilization, personal color diagnosis, stress management, and one-day classes are offered to benefit participants in their daily lives.

Notably, the project does not end with one-off training sessions. Ongoing follow-up support is provided, including consultations with professional coordinators, guidance on youth employment policies, and information on job openings and recruitment, even after the program concludes.

Since its launch at the end of May, the Youth Growth Project has seen participation from over 780 young people as of the end of July, achieving an average satisfaction score of 4.66 out of 5. Among them, over 200 participants have been connected to major youth policies such as 'Mirae Naeil Work Experience' and the 'National Employment Support System', receiving substantial employment support.

The program is held every Wednesday and Thursday at the Daejeon Youth Cafe, and details and applications are available on the Daejeon Youth Cafe website.

Kwon Kyungmin, Director of Economic Affairs for Daejeon City, stated, "Youth is a time when important life directions are determined, so I hope the Youth Growth Project serves as a meaningful stepping stone for young people," adding, "We will continue to actively support youth growth through a variety of customized programs."
