The total prize money has increased by 100 million won from last year, reaching 1.5 billion won. The winner's prize has also risen from 252 million won to 270 million won.

Park Hyunkyung won this tournament last June after a four-hole playoff, and then went on to win the next event, the McCall·Mona Yongpyong Open. She has fond memories of claiming back-to-back victories over two consecutive weeks. Last year’s tournament featured a thrilling contest with Yoon Yina and Park Jiyeong. In May this year, she won the E1 Charity Open, bringing her total KLPGA Tour victories to eight.

Park Hyunkyung reflected, "The moment I won last year is still vivid in my memory. In the fourth playoff, my second shot with a wood was executed perfectly, as if it had a one-in-a-hundred chance, and I managed to reach the green in two. It was truly overwhelming." She added, "Recently, I haven't felt as confident with my iron shots, which I considered my strength, but since accuracy and course strategy are crucial at Pocheon Hills Country Club, I will focus and work to regain my form as I aim for a second consecutive win."
