On Wednesday, the 20th, the hot weather will continue, with daytime highs reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius. Morning lows are forecast to range from 22 to 27 degrees, and daytime highs from 30 to 37 degrees.
For the time being, the maximum perceived temperature will rise to around 33 degrees, resulting in continued heat. Eastern inland Gyeonggi, the east coast of Gangwon, inland Chungnam, southern regions, and Jeju Island are expected to experience temperatures around 35 degrees.
While most of the country will see considerable cloud cover, there will be scattered showers of 5 to 20 mm from early morning to afternoon in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Chungnam, mid- to northern Chungbuk, Jeonnam, and Jeju Island. In areas where showers occur, there may also be gusty winds, thunder, and lightning.
From early morning to morning, inland Chungcheong and southern inland regions may experience fog with visibility less than 1 km, so drivers are advised to exercise caution. Fine dust levels are expected to remain at a 'good' level nationwide.
Waves on the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea coastal waters will range from 0.5 to 1.0 meters. In offshore areas about 200 km from the coastline, wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea.
