On August 19, the Cultural Heritage Administration’s Royal Palaces and Tombs Headquarters and the National Heritage Promotion Agency announced that they will operate the 'Deoksugung Palace Night at Seokjojeon' event every Wednesday through Sunday from September 10 to October 26. Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the interior of Seokjojeon with a guide’s explanation and enjoy the night view from the second-floor terrace. They can also taste coffee and desserts, which were once called 'Gabaecha', 'Gabicha', or 'Yangtang-guk' in the past.
In the first-floor reception room, a creative musical performance set against the backdrop of the Korean Empire’s royal family will be staged. Visitors can also wear period props from the enlightenment era and take instant photos called 'Insaenggung Cut'.
Admission will be granted by lottery after applying through Ticketlink from 2 p.m. on August 20 until August 26. Each account (ID) may apply only once. Each session is limited to eighteen participants, with a total of fifty-four people able to attend per day.
