A counseling program was held to help adolescents who had to leave school due to various social and economic challenges and entered the workforce, so they could make the best possible choices regarding opportunities to pursue higher education.
The Sejong Dream Center for Out-of-School Youth announced on the 19th that it had provided one-on-one college entrance consulting for nine out-of-school adolescents hoping to enter college next year. The session took place on the 18th at the center's Dasol Room.
This consulting is a college admission support program designed for out-of-school youth registered at the center who applied in advance. It was conducted in a one-on-one format. The program provides tailored admission strategies and detailed information, offering personalized consulting based on each participant’s academic record and needs. It aims to help out-of-school youth who passed the qualification exam and wish to apply for college through the regular admission process using their average scores.
One of the participants hoping to go to college said, "I was able to get realistic information about which universities I can apply to with my qualification exam scores, and I also learned how to search for college information. Although the session felt a bit short, thanks to this consulting, I feel one step closer to my dream."
Center Director Kim Kansoon stated, "The college entrance consulting, which was organized in response to the needs and demands of out-of-school youth aspiring to enter college, was a very helpful experience for the participants. We will continue to provide practical support tailored to the changing college admission environment so that out-of-school youth can achieve their goals of advancing to higher education and lay the foundation for realizing their dreams."
Meanwhile, Dream Center offers a variety of support programs for out-of-school youth preparing for college, including college admission briefings, college entrance counseling in collaboration with the college admission support team, educational sessions for the support team, and college campus tours.
