Tway Air announced on August 19 that it has launched a new direct scheduled route between Jeju and Singapore.
This route has been operating five times a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday) since August 15, and will be expanded to daily flights from next month until March 28 of next year. The flight time is approximately 5 hours and 50 minutes. Singapore is one hour behind Korea in terms of time difference.
The outbound flight departs from Jeju International Airport at 7:50 p.m. and arrives at Singapore Changi International Airport at around 12:45 a.m. the following day. The return flight departs from Singapore at 2:15 a.m. local time and arrives at Jeju International Airport at around 9:20 a.m. Detailed flight schedules can be found on the official Tway Air website.
Meanwhile, Tway Air operates four domestic routes connecting Jeju with Gimpo, Daegu, Cheongju, and Gwangju, as well as four international routes: Jeju-Osaka, Jeju-Taipei, Jeju-Kaohsiung, and now Jeju-Singapore.
The launch ceremony, held at Jeju International Airport on August 15, was attended by Kim Saemi, Tway Air's Jeju branch manager, and other officials. A Tway Air representative stated, "With the launch of the Jeju-Singapore route, we will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of international flights departing from Jeju."
