Countdown to the Global OTT Awards: "A Gathering of Stars"
Jungsigi Band's Special Performance,
Presenters and Actor Lineup Revealed
The OTT awards festival, which has leapt from the living room and the palm of your hand to the big screen, is fast approaching.
The hosts for the '2025 International Streaming Festival Global OTT Awards,' jointly organized by the Korea International Streaming Festival (Co-Executive Directors Kim Bokkeun and Kim Sungcheol) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency, have been confirmed as actor Joo Jonghyuk and announcer Lee Hyeseong.
With the hosts finalized and the lineup of celebratory performances, presenters, and actors revealed, excitement is mounting for this gathering of global stars.
Joo Jonghyuk, who will serve as host, drew attention for his outstanding portrayal of a unique character in the Disney+ original series 'Trigger.' He is set to showcase an even broader acting spectrum in his upcoming work, 'Polaris.' Announcer Lee Hyeseong, after starting her career at KBS and transitioning to freelance, has made her mark as a next-generation broadcaster through her activities across variety and other programs.
The celebratory stage at the Global OTT Awards will feature Anson Kong, Eric Chou, and the indie band Jungsigi Band. Anson Kong and Eric Chou, who both trained as K-pop idol trainees in Korea, have established themselves as actors and singers in their home countries and continue to perform on the global stage. For this event, they will present a duet performance. Jungsigi Band, the original artist of 'I Am a Firefly'-a song that gained renewed attention through Hwang Garam's remake-and a group with a strong fanbase, has prepared an emotional live performance.
Presenters will include Anson Kong, Eric Chou, Lim Eeshin, Bae Jongok, Zhong Xinling, Mira Filza, Jung Kyunghwa, Yum Hye-ran, Yoon Ilsang, and Sandrine Pina, among others. Actors and judges active both domestically and internationally will take the stage together, adding prestige to the event.
The lineup of actor guests is equally impressive. Park Eunbin from 'Hyper Knife,' Oh Jungse from 'Good Boy,' Yum Hye-ran and Choi Daehoon from 'Deceived,' as well as rising stars Kang Yuseok, Lee Suhyun, and Jung Subin, have all been confirmed. International attendees include Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro, Kazakhstan's Berik Aitzhanov, Chinese actor Bai Jingjing, Thai actor Natarat Nopparattayapon, as well as Wang Chenyuan, Bando Ryota, Sa Pengyuan, Zhong Xinling, and Suri Lin.
The '2025 International Streaming Festival' will be held over four days from August 22 to 25 at the Busan Cinema Center and Paradise Hotel. Centered around the Global OTT Awards on August 24, a variety of programs will take place, including an investment showcase, Media & Brand Day, International Streaming Summit, OST concert, and series screenings.
