This agreement was established to jointly utilize the educational human and material resources of both institutions, spread the culture of education donation in the local community, and develop customized programs for underprivileged groups.
Under this agreement, the two organizations have agreed to: activate education donation by utilizing each institution’s human and material resources; mutually support the operation and promotion of education donation programs; provide support for underprivileged groups in the region; and collaborate jointly to contribute to education donation and the local community.
The Dongnae-gu Innovation Eoullim Center is an urban regeneration children's complex cultural space established and supported by Dongnae-gu, Busan, and operated by Kosin University under commission.
Located near Oncheonjang in Dongnae, it offers educational, entrepreneurial, and cultural programs for the local community, small business owners, and youth, and serves as a bridge between families and the community through play, experiential, and exhibition functions.
Sangkil Lee, Director of the Gyeongsang Regional Education Donation Hub Support Center, stated, "With this agreement as an opportunity, we will actively link the human and material resources of both institutions to discover and operate sustainable education donation programs tailored to the characteristics of the region. In particular, we will do our utmost to ensure that more students, including those from underprivileged backgrounds, can stably enjoy high-quality educational opportunities."
Since its establishment in 2023, designated by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, the Gyeongsang Regional Education Donation Hub Support Center at National Pukyong University has been operating various customized education donation programs for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school students in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk.
Through cooperation with organizations, companies, and individual donors, it is creating a region-based education donation ecosystem and taking the lead in bridging educational gaps and spreading a culture of donation throughout society.
