Singer Kim Jongkook (49) is getting married.
On the morning of August 18, he posted a handwritten letter on his fan cafe, "Papitus," announcing, "I'm getting married." He added, "I always thought that one day I would have to write something like this and tried to prepare myself, but now that I'm actually doing it, I'm very nervous and excited. I wanted my fans, who have supported and believed in me for so long, to be the first to know."
Kim Jongkook said, "This year marks the 30th anniversary of my debut. I couldn't make an album, but I did find my other half. Although it's late, I'm grateful. I will do my best to live well." The wedding will be held quietly in the near future, with only family and close friends invited.
Recently, he purchased a luxury villa in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with a floor area of 243 square meters, for 6.2 billion won. The transaction was notable for being completed entirely in cash without any mortgage, and there has been speculation that it will be used as his newlywed home. Kim Jongkook also commented on a TV show, "Of course I'm preparing a home for my marriage."
Kim Jongkook debuted in 1995 as part of the male duo Turbo and has released numerous hit songs such as "Lovable" and "One Man." He has also gained global recognition through the SBS variety show "Running Man," continuing his career as both a singer and entertainer. He stated, "Thanks to the long-standing support of my fans, I am able to take on this new challenge. I will continue to work hard in the future."
