Hwaseong City Accepting Applications for Youth Monthly Rent Support Program Until September 5

Up to 900,000 KRW in Rent Reimbursement
for 68 Selected Applicants

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for its 'Youth Monthly Rent Support Program' until September 5 to help stabilize housing for young residents.

Eligible applicants are unmarried youth household heads aged 19 to 39 who reside in Hwaseong City and do not own a home. Applicants must meet the following criteria: ▲ a household income at or below 120% of the standard median income (pre-tax 2,870,416 KRW), ▲ residence in a Hwaseong City property with a deposit of 100 million KRW or less and monthly rent of 500,000 KRW or less, and ▲ proof of monthly rent payments for six months between January 1, 2024, and the application date.

The program will support up to 68 people, prioritizing those with the highest scores according to a selection table. Selected recipients will receive reimbursement for previously paid rent, up to a maximum of 900,000 KRW.

However, the following individuals are excluded: ▲ those already selected for this program, ▲ recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program (except those receiving only education benefits), ▲ residents of public rental housing, ▲ tenants living in jeonse (lump-sum deposit rental) contracts without monthly rent, and ▲ youth currently participating in other government or local housing welfare programs.

Interested applicants can apply online through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system, 'Jobaba Apply.' Detailed information is available in the announcement posted on the Hwaseong City website.
