Growth Sharing Presentation by Regional Children's Centers
The 10th Yangsan City Regional Children's Center Day event, organized by the Yangsan City Regional Children's Center Association in South Gyeongsang Province, was held on August 14 at the Grand Performance Hall of the Culture and Arts Center.
Regional children's centers are child welfare facilities that provide comprehensive welfare services such as after-school care and educational support to promote the healthy development of children in the community. Currently, there are 19 centers in Yangsan City, serving approximately 560 children.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which brought together around 490 participants, including children who use the centers and staff members. The program featured various activities designed to help children discover their dreams and talents, including an awards ceremony honoring contributors to child welfare and exemplary children, as well as a "Growth Sharing Presentation" where children showcased choral and dance performances they had diligently prepared.
Kwon Mijin, president of the Regional Children's Center Association, stated, "I am delighted that we have provided a stage where children can fully display their talents, and we will continue to help them discover their potential and enjoy themselves to the fullest."
Na Dongyeon, mayor of Yangsan, who attended the event, said, "I am grateful to the staff of the regional children's centers for their efforts to ensure that children can nurture their dreams and grow in a safe environment. We will continue to pay close attention and work hard to ensure that the children, who are the future leaders, can live happily."
