Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft, will appear on the Korean variety show "You Quiz on the Block" (You Quiz), according to an announcement by tvN on August 18.

Nam Seungyong, a management leader at CJ ENM, stated, "You Quiz is a program that conveys human dignity and understanding through the stories of diverse individuals, which aligns with the Gates Foundation's belief that 'every life has equal value.' We are honored to welcome Bill Gates, a figure who connects the world through technology and transforms it through philanthropy."

Bill Gates, a globally renowned billionaire and philanthropist, ushered in the PC era. He is now dedicated to addressing shared human challenges such as global health, education, climate change, and poverty eradication through the Gates Foundation. Recently, he made headlines by announcing his intention to donate approximately $200 billion (about 280 trillion won)-combining 99% of his personal wealth and foundation donations-to society by 2045.

According to the National Assembly Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee and other sources, Bill Gates is scheduled to visit Korea around August 21, marking his first trip to the country in three years. During his stay, he plans to discuss ways to expand vaccine distribution to low-income countries in partnership with Korean companies.

Meanwhile, Bill Gates' appearance on You Quiz is expected to air later this month.
