Recruiting Retired Faculty Volunteers
to Support Educational Activities
and Reduce School Workload
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will begin recruiting for its second-half Retired Faculty Support Center talent pool starting September 1, to support educational activities.
The recruitment is open to retired faculty members who have worked at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education for at least five years and are in good physical and mental health.
Interested applicants can submit the required documents, such as a certificate of career, at the Retired Faculty Support Center (first floor of Seomyeon Nolimaru). For more detailed information, applicants can refer to the resources section on the Office of Education website.
Since its establishment in 2018, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Retired Faculty Support Center has formed a talent pool and has been leveraging the expertise and experience of retired faculty members to support educational activities. In particular, the center has provided on-site support in various ways by matching volunteers with institutions in six areas, including ecological education, character education, and reading education.
This year as well, the center is connecting retired faculty volunteers with 125 schools and is operating various training programs, such as basic competency education, to further enhance their capabilities.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "We hope for the active participation of retired faculty members so that they can contribute to the advancement of education in Busan," and added, "We will continue to expand opportunities for retired faculty to utilize their expertise in various educational fields and to embark on a meaningful second chapter in their lives."
