Siheung City to Launch Basic Course of "Redevelopment Project Academy" for Southern Region

Basic Education on Redevelopment and Reconstruction

Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province and the Siheung Urban Regeneration Support Center will launch a "Redevelopment Project Academy" for the southern region starting on August 28.

This program is an educational initiative designed to provide accurate information and a clear understanding of redevelopment and reconstruction projects.

The course will be held every Thursday at the Siheung Startup Center in Jeongwang-dong until September 25. Participants who attend at least three out of the five sessions will receive a certificate of completion issued by the center.

The curriculum includes: ▲Understanding urban and housing redevelopment systems ▲A glossary of redevelopment and reconstruction terms explained by a lawyer ▲Changes and explanations in housing construction systems ▲How is my home's price determined in reconstruction? ▲Learning from the past in a fun way! Issues in redevelopment and reconstruction, among other topics.

The program is open to Siheung residents and those who work or live in the area, with a maximum of 100 participants accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The lectures are free of charge, and applications can be submitted through the Siheung Urban Regeneration Support Center website.

The city also plans to offer an advanced course for those who complete this basic program. Graduates of the basic course since 2019 and union executives will be eligible to participate in the advanced course.
