"Dopamine-Triggering Spiciness"... Ottogi Launches "THE HOT Yeol Ramen"

"THE HOT Yeol Ramen" combines Yeongyang chili peppers, a specialty from Yeongyang County in North Gyeongsang Province-one of Korea's leading chili-producing regions-with four other types of peppers: Vietnamese Sky Pepper, Carolina Reaper, Bhut Jolokia, and Habanero. These five peppers are blended in a golden ratio under the value of regional coexistence, resulting in a powerful, explosive spiciness that enhances Yeol Ramen's signature clean heat. With a Scoville rating of 7,500 SHU, it is about 1.5 times spicier than Ottogi's flagship spicy ramen, Yeol Ramen (5,013 SHU), making it the spiciest ramen Ottogi has ever released.

Yeongyang chili peppers are grown at high altitudes in pristine natural environments, resulting in thick skins, vibrant color, and a balanced combination of moderate heat and sweetness. Considered Korea's highest-quality chili, these premium ingredients are generously used in THE HOT Yeol Ramen to create a ramen that is not simply spicy, but also delivers a deep and delicious flavor.

This new product will be available at online and offline stores nationwide. Ottogi plans to target not only spicy food enthusiasts but also young consumers seeking new flavors through various promotions, including tasting events and participation in the "Yeongyang Chili Hot Festival." In addition, a campaign video highlighting the fun aspects of regional coexistence with Yeongyang County has been prepared.

An Ottogi representative stated, "THE HOT Yeol Ramen is our flagship ramen for the second half of the year, featuring a dopamine-triggering intense spiciness, premium ingredients, and the value of regional coexistence. We are preparing a variety of marketing activities in collaboration with Yeongyang County, and through THE HOT Yeol Ramen, we aim to promote both Yeongyang chili peppers and the charm of Yeongyang County, while putting the value of coexistence into practice."
