'Was It Real?' Monk Who Predicted Lottery Four Times in a Row Draws Attention Ahead of Fifth Miracle

Extracting Numbers from Holy Water at Sukhothai Temple in Thailand
Monk Says, "A Tool for Faith and Comfort, Not Mere Superstition"

At a temple in Thailand, the so-called 'Miraculous Holy Water Bowl' has attracted attention by consecutively matching lottery numbers. Having already correctly predicted the winning numbers four times in a row, anticipation is building for the outcome of the upcoming fifth drawing.

On August 13 (local time), the Thai media outlet The Thaiger reported that a local TV program host personally visited Wat Nong Thong Temple in Sukhothai Province, which is famous for its lottery predictions, to cover the story. The segment aired on the popular show 'Lottery Plus' and quickly went viral online.

The video featured the question, "Will the holy water bowl at Wat Nong Thong Temple deliver the exact numbers again this time?" and also showed scenes from previous draws where some of the winning numbers were accurately predicted.

The temple's ritual is led by the monk Phra Achan Mu. During the holy water ceremony, prayers are offered over a bowl of holy water, and numbers are interpreted from the shapes formed by candle wax residue or herbal powder floating on the water's surface. The numbers derived from this process have become so popular that lottery tickets featuring them sell out at local vendors each time.

In particular, during the most recent draw, three of the numbers-8, 5, and 2-matched the first prize lottery numbers out of the predicted sequence 5, 4, 2, 8, leading some to believe this goes beyond mere coincidence.

There is also a poignant story behind how this method of prediction began. Monk Phra Achan Mu explained that he started the ritual after once refusing to help someone in distress, who later took their own life. He said, "After that incident, I wanted to use holy water not as a simple superstition, but as a tool to give people hope." He also added that "holy water can be a means of comfort and faith."

With the next drawing scheduled for August 16, Thai lottery enthusiasts are eagerly watching to see if the holy water bowl will deliver another miracle.
