Global OTT Platforms Gather in Busan... 2025 International Streaming Festival "Media & Brand Day"

Tving's "Great Escape: The Story" Outdoor Booth
Netflix Premieres "K-Pop Demon Hunters"

Global OTT platforms are gathering in Busan.

The 2025 International Streaming Festival, where film, technology, brands, and audiences come together, will be held from August 22 to 25, 2025, at the Busan Cinema Center and the surrounding Paradise Hotel Busan area. The event is jointly organized by the Korea International Streaming Festival and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency.

During the festival, "Media & Brand Day" will feature stages directly planned and operated by OTT platforms to encourage audience participation. Tving will set up an outdoor booth for its original series "Great Escape: The Story" at the Dureraum Plaza of the Busan Cinema Center on August 22 and 23, hosting on-site events and a photo zone. Visitors can enjoy an immersive experience as if they have become the "seventh member" of the show. Participants will also have the chance to enter a special prize drawing.

On the same day at 8 p.m., Netflix will unveil key footage from the animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" at the outdoor theater and introduce audio description technology that helps everyone enjoy content without barriers. This demonstration is open to all without a separate admission ticket.

Media & Brand Day will also screen two works from Tving. The reboot "Great Escape: The Story," returning after four years, stars Kang Hodong, Kim Donghyun, Yoo Byungjae, Go Kyungpyo, Baekhyun, and Yeo Jingoo, delivering extreme thrills. The documentary "Life Line" captures the courage and perseverance of firefighters who confront trauma and cross the line between life and death. Both works will be screened at the medium theater on August 24 and 25.

The 2025 International Streaming Festival will run for four days at the Busan Cinema Center and the Paradise Hotel area. Alongside the Global OTT Awards, it will serve as a convergence platform for "media, culture, and technology," offering audiences the chance to experience works that are rarely accessible elsewhere, as well as the latest media services and technologies.

An endless imagination and the infinite world of streaming have escaped the living room and the palm of your hand to find their way to Busan’s summer.
