Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province announced on the 14th that it had conducted the 'Career e-Eum Education Program' as part of the Suncheon Education Autonomy Cooperation Center project, providing local youth with opportunities to explore and experience various career paths.
This program, held over three weeks from July 28 to August 14, targeted 30 first-year high school students in the area and featured in-depth experiential activities focused on graphics and biotechnology, which are core fields of future industries.
The curriculum emphasized enhancing students' understanding and practical skills in each field, based on expert mentoring from university faculty specializing in computer science, 3D animation, and smart agriculture.
Participating students began with a common AI course and then, according to their individual interests, selected either the advanced graphics or biotechnology track. In particular, the advanced AI course included a Google Analytics lecture, enabling students to develop digital analysis skills and providing opportunities to obtain relevant certifications.
A city official stated, "This Career e-Eum program served as a good example of providing local youth with practical career exploration experiences. We will continue to work on establishing a foundation so that future talents in the region can nurture their dreams and grow in Suncheon."
