Customized Consultations for Youth
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province will hold an intensive financial education session for participants of the Jeonbuk Youth Together Double Savings program at Iksan Youth City Hall on August 16.
According to the city on August 14, this program is organized by the Jeonbuk Youth Hub Center and is designed to help young people develop practical skills to build and manage their own assets.

The three-hour lecture will cover essential real estate information that the 20s and 30s generation is curious about, asset management strategies for salaried workers such as investment and loans, and customized consultations to help achieve financial goals.
The Jeonbuk Youth Together Double Savings program is an asset-building support initiative in which working youth save 100,000 won per month for two years, and the local government matches the same amount so that participants receive double their savings at maturity.
Based on the success of the “Youth Asset-Building Account” that the city first launched in 2019 to support local youth independence, the program was expanded in 2023 as a North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Province initiative.
From 2023 to this year, 380 young people from Iksan have participated, reflecting consistently high interest among the youth. This year, there was a high competition rate of 9 to 1 for 200 new spots. The next recruitment is scheduled for March next year.
Mayor Jung Heon-yul stated, “Financial knowledge is the strongest foundation for asset building among young people,” adding, “I hope this education will help youth strengthen their economic capabilities and better prepare for the future.”
