With the temporary visa-free entry for Chinese group tourists set to begin on September 29, Gyeongnam Province has decided to take a proactive approach to attracting tourists from Greater China.

According to Gyeongsangnam-do on August 14, the province and the Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation have completed the development of extended-stay tourism products aimed at attracting tourists from Greater China in the second half of the year and have officially begun sales.

These extended-stay group tourism packages have been created in cooperation with major travel agencies in Greater China, including Star Cloud International Travel Agency in Beijing, Cola Tour in Taiwan, and Lion Travel. The packages connect two or more cities or counties within Gyeongnam Province. The city- and county-linked extended-stay tourism products include nine cities and counties in Gyeongnam-such as Geoje, Tongyeong, and Jinju-and are designed to offer a deeper experience by encompassing the region's abundant natural scenery, historical and cultural sites, and unique local festivals.
