ASEMS Reports 7.1 Billion KRW Operating Profit in First Half... "ULTRA-NET Growth Accelerates"

ASEMS, a company specializing in high-performance adhesive materials, announced on August 14 that it recorded consolidated sales of 31.3 billion KRW and operating profit of 7.1 billion KRW for the first half of this year. Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 18%, while operating profit surged by 79.6%. The company successfully improved both profitability and growth.

ASEMS Reports 7.1 Billion KRW Operating Profit in First Half... "ULTRA-NET Growth Accelerates"

This performance improvement was driven by strong footwear sales from major global clients such as Nike, Adidas, and New Balance, along with an increase in ASEMS's market share within these clients. In particular, sales of adhesive materials with high profit margins rose to 20.3 billion KRW, up 24.8% year-on-year, boosting overall profitability.

Starting in the second quarter of this year, mass production of the new product ULTRA-NET has begun in earnest. ULTRA-NET is an eco-friendly, high-performance adhesive material with excellent elasticity and breathability, and is currently being used in Adidas basketball shoes (Anthony Edwards line). Its use is also under consideration for soccer shoes for players in the 2026 North and Central America World Cup. The company sees this as the early stage of expanding applications from basketball shoes to soccer shoes, running shoes, and even into the apparel market. This is expected to become a key driver of future sales growth.

In line with this, ASEMS is accelerating efforts to expand ULTRA-NET production capacity. The company plans to quadruple its production capacity by the end of the year to proactively respond to increasing global demand.

An ASEMS representative stated, "Our first-half results demonstrate the effectiveness of our profitability-focused growth strategy," adding, "In the second half, we expect to take another leap forward as the application of ULTRA-NET expands, new businesses are launched, and sales from global clients remain strong."
