Han Moonhee: "Safety First... Swift Restoration to Minimize Inconvenience"
Korail announced on August 13 that all train operations on the entire Uijeongbu-Daegok section of the Gyeonggi Northern Suburban Line would be fully suspended until August 14 due to heavy rainfall in northern Gyeonggi Province.
Initially, service was halted at 1:00 p.m. on the same day, with plans to resume from the first train on August 14. However, the restart was postponed, taking into account additional heavy rain forecasts and the ongoing restoration of facilities.
Korail also noted that the resumption schedule may change depending on rainfall levels, and urged passengers to check real-time service updates via Korail Talk and the official website.
Earlier on the same day, in response to extreme heavy rain in northern Gyeonggi Province, Korail suspended all trains on the entire Suburban Line around noon for safety reasons.
