Seoul to Announce Recruitment on August 29
Applications Open for Three Days, September 17-19
Eligible for Mirinaejip Apartment Relocation After Childbirth
The Seoul Metropolitan Government is expanding the supply of 'Mirinaejip,' a long-term jeonse housing type for newlywed couples. This initiative aims to alleviate the housing burden for newlyweds by including multi-family housing, officetels, and urban-style residential units.

On August 13, the city announced that it will begin accepting applications for residents for 149 units across seven Mirinaejip locations, with the recruitment notice to be posted on August 29. Applications will be accepted over a three-day period from September 17 to 19.
The 149 Mirinaejip units being offered this time are distributed as follows: 16 units in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu; 11 units in Dangsan-dong 6-ga, Yeongdeungpo-gu; 23 units in Junggok-dong, Gwangjin-gu; 10 units in Sangdo-dong, Dongjak-gu; 53 units in Sangbong-dong, Jungnang-gu; 30 units in Ui-dong, Gangbuk-gu; and 6 units in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu.
Non-apartment Mirinaejip units were introduced to broaden the range of choices for newlyweds who may find it difficult to secure the deposit for new apartment rentals. These homes, which include residential officetels and urban-style residential units linked to purchased rental housing, offer rental deposits at about 50% of the market price of nearby apartments, making them more affordable.
Mirinaejip also provides post-childbirth incentives. If a resident gives birth while living in a purchased rental unit, they are eligible to apply for priority relocation to a long-term jeonse unit after 10 years of residence. This ensures housing continuity for newlyweds through childbirth and as their children grow.
Going forward, the city plans to develop Mirinaejip-linked purchased rental units in locations with good transportation access and equip them with high-end features such as built-in appliances. The goal is to offer a residential environment that is distinct from existing public rental housing.
On the same day, Mayor Oh Sehoon visited the Mirinaejip 'Le Pied' residential officetel in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, to inspect the site. Mayor Oh personally checked the quality, location, and community facilities of the actual housing being supplied, and reviewed whether they meet the housing needs of newlywed couples.
Located at 652-3 Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, the Mirinaejip is a residential officetel, with 16 out of a total of 262 units being offered in this round. It is a prime location just a 6-minute walk from Munjeong Station, with an underground connection from Exit 3 directly to the building. The first and second floors above ground are for neighborhood living facilities, while the third floor features community facilities (such as a fitness room and swimming pool) for residents. Each unit comes fully equipped with two bedrooms, air conditioning, and an induction cooktop.
