The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on the 13th that it will hold a special lecture on the Yellow Envelope Act for its executive member companies and non-member companies.
The special lecture, scheduled to take place on the 26th in a small conference room at the Kimdaejung Convention Center, will address the main issues and response strategies related to the Yellow Envelope Act, an amendment that passed the National Assembly's Environment and Labor Committee plenary session last month.
The main topics will include: ▲ analysis of key issues and strategies for responding to the Yellow Envelope Act; ▲ review of major precedents and identification of corporate risks; ▲ establishment of proactive response strategies for companies; and ▲ listening to and sharing opinions on difficulties faced by member companies. Applications will be accepted until the 22nd, on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 50 participants, and can be submitted via email or fax.
Yang Jinseok, Chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation, stated, "The recent amendment to the Yellow Envelope Act expands the definition of 'employer' and the scope of labor disputes, while also restricting companies' ability to claim damages against striking workers. This will create new burdens for companies, but it will also be a valuable opportunity to explore effective response strategies."
