An enterprise-grade container platform refers to an integrated management system that enables the efficient development and stable operation of various applications.

To prepare for an increasingly complex AI service operating environment, BC Card has implemented Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenShift AI. BC Card is the first company in Korea to introduce OpenShift AI.

OpenShift is a platform that simplifies application deployment and management, while integrating various development and operational tools.

OpenShift AI is characterized by its ability to efficiently and automatically manage multiple graphics processing unit (GPU) servers. It is specialized for building large language model (LLM) and high-performance AI inference environments.

Recently, BC Card has independently developed and operated more than ten services utilizing AI, including automated classification of new merchant business types, community-based shopping information recommendations (AI Hot Deal), and product recommendations based on purchasing patterns (Living Plus).

However, as the company carried out various AI projects, GPU usage increased, making it necessary to improve learning and inference speeds as well as infrastructure efficiency.

By adopting OpenShift, BC Card has established a foundation to accelerate the experimentation and validation speed of AI projects, while significantly enhancing service stability and scalability. The company has also shortened the deployment cycle for internal LLM projects and is able to accelerate the practical application of AI services in key areas such as work process optimization, risk analysis, and internal knowledge search.

OpenShift AI is a dedicated solution that adds AI development and operation-specific features and environments to the existing container platform, supporting more efficient and systematic execution of AI projects.

Choi Wonseok, CEO of BC Card, stated, "By introducing OpenShift AI, we have optimized the use of GPU resources and improved the LLM training and inference environment, greatly enhancing the stability and efficiency of our AI infrastructure operations. We plan to continue expanding the application of AI technologies across all core business areas to further strengthen our digital competitiveness."

Kim Kyungsang, CEO of Red Hat Korea, said, "Red Hat supports enterprises in adopting and expanding AI by leveraging open-source technologies. We will continue to help BC Card execute its AI strategy more flexibly and efficiently, and generate business value."
