Participatory Donation Campaign for Bithumb Members Runs Until August 31
Donate Easily by Registering a Code; New Members Receive Liberation 80th Anniversary Gifts and Benefits
All Funds Raised Will Be Used to Improve Housing for Descendants of Independence Patriots
On August 13, Habitat for Humanity Korea announced that, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation, it will launch a participatory donation campaign to improve the housing conditions of descendants of independence patriots, in collaboration with the virtual asset exchange Bithumb and the fashion brand Lakai Korea.
This campaign will run for about three weeks, until August 31, and is open to Bithumb members. Anyone can easily participate by registering a donation code in the Bithumb app. If a new member registers the donation code from the Lakai Korea event page after signing up for Bithumb, a donation of 10,000 won will be made automatically. In addition to the donation, new members will receive a 'support package' randomly composed of up to 50,000 won in Bithumb KRW, a Lakai Korea 1945 limited edition T-shirt, a Taegeukgi badge, a bracelet, or a mug. The support package will be provided to the first 200 participants, and if supplies run out early, it may be replaced with other products.
Existing Bithumb members will have 1,000 won donated per person when registering the donation code, and as a token of appreciation, will receive 815 won in Bithumb KRW. All donations will be used by Habitat for Humanity Korea to improve the poor housing conditions of descendants of independence patriots.
A total of 270 participants will be selected by lottery to receive prizes, including a Lakai Korea 1945 eco bag (200 winners), Dokdo Seed Moisture Cream (50 winners), and a KR ball cap (20 winners).
A representative from Habitat for Humanity Korea stated, "To mark the 80th anniversary of Liberation, we have created an opportunity for companies and citizens to reflect on the historical significance together and to participate in meaningful giving. We hope this campaign will serve as a catalyst for spreading the values of sharing and solidarity."
