Hanyang University ERICA, Korea Polytechnic University, and Gyeonggi College of Science and Technology to Participate
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a joint admissions information session for three universities offering early employment contract-based departments at Neumnae Hall in City Hall on August 22.
This information session is part of the "Youth Engineer Development Project," jointly promoted by the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation and Siheung City. It aims to nurture future talent who will play active roles in manufacturing sites such as Siheung Smart Hub, and to support local settlement.
The information session will feature three universities that operate relevant departments: Hanyang University ERICA Campus, Korea Polytechnic University, and Gyeonggi College of Science and Technology. They will provide details on the 2026 admissions process, curriculum, and employment-linked programs. At university-specific one-on-one counseling booths set up at the venue, students and parents can receive career planning and admissions counseling.
During the session, Professor Cho Sunmi from Ajou University School of Medicine will deliver a special lecture on "Academic Stress and Parent-Child Relationships." Anyone can participate in the session by registering in advance or on-site. The event will also be broadcast live online via the "Jobaba TV" YouTube channel.
Siheung Mayor Lim Byeongtaek stated, "The city will serve as a reliable stepping stone so that young people can seize opportunities for both learning and employment locally," and added, "We will create a virtuous cycle where companies, universities, and youth grow together."
