The Consumption Activation TF was established under the leadership of the Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, bringing together the ministry’s headquarters, regional offices, and affiliated public institutions to spearhead nationwide relay consumption campaigns and the expansion of related events. This meeting was convened to assess the on-site activities of the TF, which was launched on July 30, and to specifically discuss ways to continuously spread effective examples of consumption stimulation.
During the meeting, participants shared: ▲examples of consumption promotion campaigns through collaboration between regional SME offices and public institutions; ▲the current status of relay consumption activation events; ▲progress in expanding alley-type shopping districts; and ▲the operation status of regional consultative bodies. In particular, for outstanding cases with proven effectiveness, the TF discussed ways to disseminate and share these examples at the task force level.
Vice Minister Noh Yongseok stated, "Since the launch of the TF, the swift execution by regional offices and public institutions has rapidly expanded the consumption activation campaign," adding, "We will continue to share best practices and further strengthen the TF’s consumption promotion activities, especially focusing on vulnerable areas such as special disaster zones and regions experiencing population decline."
