The "Dorasan Shuttle Train Linked Tour" is the only regular route that allows visitors to reach Dorasan Station by train. Participants board the train at Imjingang Station, arrive at Dorasan Station, and then transfer to a tour bus to visit the Inter-Korean Transit Office, Dora Observatory, Tongilchon (Unification Village), and the Third Tunnel in sequence before returning to Imjingang Station.
This year's "Dorasan Shuttle Train Linked Tour" actively reflected feedback from tourists collected over the past year through on-site surveys. The Dora Observatory was added to the itinerary, and the total duration was shortened from five hours to four hours and twenty minutes.
Thanks to these efforts, the August tour, marking the first anniversary, received an enthusiastic response, with all seats reserved within just six days of opening for bookings. In particular, the August tour saw a notable increase in participation from families with teenagers during the summer vacation period, providing an opportunity for entire families to directly experience and learn about security sites together.
Han Yoonja, head of the Tourism Division, said, "We deeply appreciate the tourists who visited Paju despite the hot weather in August," adding, "We will continue to incorporate diverse feedback to provide even more satisfying tourism content in the future."
Meanwhile, the "Dorasan Shuttle Train Linked Tour" operates once a month on the second Friday, with a maximum of 200 participants per session. Those interested in joining can apply in advance through the DMZ Peace Tourism online reservation website starting September 1.
