Gwangju Esports Education Center announced on the 12th that it recently completed the Job Group Expert Training Course - Game Direction Observer Course.

This training program was designed to strengthen the expertise of the "Game Direction Observer," a key role responsible for providing viewers with optimized visuals during esports matches, and to cultivate talent capable of participating in both domestic and international tournaments. Observers play a crucial role in determining the quality of the viewing experience by capturing key moments in matches, switching screens, and executing strategic camerawork.

The curriculum included the fundamentals of game direction, analysis of the characteristics of esports tournaments, design of camerawork and broadcast flow, and practical exercises using actual match footage. In particular, the specialized curriculum tailored to each game title focused on immersive broadcast directing techniques and technologies to optimize the spectator experience.

Jung Yeoncheol, Director of the Gwangju Esports Education Center, stated, "Although the esports industry is growing rapidly, there is still a shortage of professionals specializing in broadcast direction. I hope that the talents produced through this program will excel in domestic and international tournaments and contribute to enhancing the overall quality of esports."

Meanwhile, Gwangju Esports Education Center is committed to nurturing future talents in the region through comprehensive job training across all aspects of esports, including commentary, direction, planning, operations, and mental care.

The center operates with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Gwangju City as part of the "2025 Esports Professional Talent Development" project, which is managed by the Honam University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.
