The delegations from the two local governments adopted and signed a resolution urging the prompt advancement of the Gimhae-Miryang Expressway project and the passage of the preliminary feasibility study.

In the resolution, they emphasized the necessity of the expressway for establishing a wide-area transportation network in the southeastern region, reducing interregional logistics costs, improving accessibility between cities, and contributing to balanced national development.

They also agreed to strongly urge the government and the National Assembly to ensure the swift passage of the ongoing preliminary feasibility study so that the project can proceed without delay.

The Gimhae-Miryang Expressway construction project is an 18.8-kilometer route connecting the Jinrye Interchange (IC) in Gimhae and the Nam-Miryang Interchange (IC).

This section is a key link connecting the Namhae Expressway, Jungang Expressway, and Jungbu Inland Expressway. Upon completion, it is expected to dramatically reduce travel time between the inland areas of Busan and Gyeongnam and significantly improve the efficiency of logistics flows.

A Gimhae City official stated, "This project is more than just an expansion of transportation infrastructure; it marks an important turning point in laying the foundation for the region's sustainable development. We will do our utmost to gather citizens' support, ensure the passage of the preliminary feasibility study, and enable the swift commencement of road construction."
