Jeonnam Development Corporation announced on August 11 that it has obtained international ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certification through a certification award ceremony held at KSR Certification Institute.
ISO 45001 is a global occupational health and safety management system established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Its core purpose is to systematically identify and assess an organization’s occupational health and safety risks, and to proactively manage them in order to ensure the safety of employees and stakeholders.
Jeonnam Development Corporation obtained KOSHA-MS certification from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency in 2020, and since then has established and operated a systematic safety management system.
In particular, the corporation has continuously improved its occupational health and safety standards through initiatives such as construction site risk assessment consulting, zero-accident campaigns, and safety expert development programs.
With this international certification, the corporation has established a proactive risk response system at a global level, and has completed a hybrid safety management system that simultaneously meets both domestic and international occupational health and safety standards.
Jang Chungmo, President of Jeonnam Development Corporation, stated, "This ISO 45001 certification is clear evidence of Jeonnam Development Corporation’s commitment to making safety our highest priority," adding, "We will further solidify a zero-accident, zero-injury organizational culture by maintaining the strengths of KOSHA-MS while advancing our safety management system to reflect international standards."
