Yeongam County in South Jeolla Province conducted comprehensive monitoring and safety education for all households under Dream Start case management to prevent child safety accidents during the summer.

According to the county on August 11, from July 28 to this day, officials directly visited all 107 households under Dream Start case management to identify care gaps, inspect living environments, and replace old power strips.

This initiative involved the dedicated deployment of an integrated case manager. During home visits, households received education on fire and electrical safety regulations, as well as safe usage of cooling appliances. For multicultural families from countries such as Vietnam and Cambodia, foreign language safety materials were distributed to enhance understanding. Based on the results of this monitoring, the county plans to develop customized care service plans tailored to each household.

Yu Mikyung, head of the Yeongam County Integrated Care Promotion Team, stated, "This is on-site monitoring that simultaneously addresses care gaps and strengthens everyday safety," and added, "We will create a seamless care environment where children can grow up safely."
