In addition, the two ministers discussed ways to expand the entry of Korean agricultural and food products into the Japanese market. They also agreed on the need to regularize chief veterinary officer meetings and to expand information sharing in response to transboundary diseases. In the field of agricultural heritage, they decided to further strengthen the foundation for cooperation by sharing policy experiences and holding international academic conferences.
Minister Song said, "South Korea and Japan share similar agricultural structures and challenges, and through practical cooperation, we can enhance our mutual competitiveness and sustainability. I hope this meeting will serve as a starting point for broadening agricultural cooperation between our two countries."
