It has become easier to use nearby and affordable convenience store parcel delivery services through the KakaoTalk and KakaoMap applications.
On August 11, Kakao announced that it has launched a convenience store parcel reservation service on KakaoTalk Reservation and KakaoMap, along with a parcel delivery fee discount promotion. The company aims to enhance user convenience by adding various everyday features to its diverse range of services.
Users can select 'Convenience Store Parcel' in the 'Reservation' section under the 'More' tab in KakaoTalk to book parcel deliveries at GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, and Emart24 convenience stores. In addition, both the sender and recipient can check real-time delivery status via notification messages.
Users can easily compare delivery fees across multiple convenience store brands at a glance. By simply entering item and destination information, users can instantly check the delivery fee for each convenience store brand and also find stores nearby that accept reservations. Users can then choose the most suitable convenience store by comparing delivery fees and accessibility.
KakaoMap users can also search for nearby convenience stores and, by selecting 'Parcel Reservation' on the detailed page of a location, directly access the convenience store parcel service provided by KakaoTalk Reservation.
To celebrate the launch of the service, a parcel delivery fee discount promotion will be held starting today. During the promotion period, users who book standard convenience store parcel deliveries through KakaoTalk Reservation will receive a discount of 300 KRW per reservation at 7-Eleven, and 200 KRW per reservation at GS25, CU, and Emart24.
