This year, the number of diplomatic envoys visiting the 'Daejeon 0 O'clock Festival' increased to 219 representatives from 10 cities, compared to 165 representatives from 7 cities last year.

Delegations and performance groups from Daejeon's sister and friendship cities around the world, as well as diplomatic envoys stationed in Korea, attended the festival. The city plans to utilize the event as a platform for public diplomacy to strengthen cooperation with cities worldwide and to enhance its status as a global city.

During the festival, the city prepared a variety of detailed programs, including the opening ceremony, a welcome luncheon, an economic seminar, a meeting for diplomatic envoys, and performances by sister cities.

In particular, on Saturday, August 9, performances by sister and friendship cities illuminated Daejeon's night with traditional performances from diverse cultures, including China, Japan, Thailand, Mexico, and Uzbekistan. In addition, the Royal Opera Flamenco Dance Company from Spain delivered a passionate performance, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute in Korea.
