On Sunday, August 10, most regions across the country are expected to be mostly cloudy, with heavy rainfall concentrated in the southern areas.

The expected rainfall over the two-day period starting from August 9 is 50 to 100 mm in Gwangju and Jeonnam (up to 150 mm in some coastal areas of Jeonnam, and more than 120 mm in some inland areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam), 20 to 60 mm in southern Jeonbuk (with some areas receiving more than 80 mm), and 10 to 50 mm in northern Jeonbuk.


During the same period, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam are forecast to receive 50 to 100 mm of rain (with some parts of the southern coast of Gyeongnam exceeding 150 mm), Daegu and southern Gyeongbuk are expected to receive 20 to 60 mm (with some areas over 80 mm), and Ulleungdo and Dokdo will see 5 to 20 mm of rainfall.


Jeju is expected to receive 30 to 100 mm of rain, with some areas exceeding 120 mm. In regions experiencing rainfall, strong gusts of wind, thunder, and lightning are also expected, so caution is advised to prevent accidents.


The morning low temperatures are forecast to range from 19 to 25 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be between 28 and 33 degrees Celsius. For the time being, temperatures are expected to be similar to the seasonal averages (morning lows of 21 to 25 degrees Celsius and daytime highs of 28 to 32 degrees Celsius). Some areas may experience tropical nights.


Wave heights in the seas are expected to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the coastal waters of the East and West Seas, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the coastal waters of the South Sea. In the offshore areas (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast to be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
